Archer Warrior

The Archer Warrior sculpture is a strong piece.  You get a sense of inner strength and calmness however the prevailing feeling that is provoked is one of 'focus'. She is also steady and grounded.

The creative concept for this piece was about capturing a few selected elements of the spirit of a warrior. Specifically this piece aims to capture what is needed to stay on your chosen path or what is needed to achieve your goals - unflinching focus.

Artist statement

Unflinching focus, grounded and strong. This Archer Warrior is a call for perseverance to stay on your path and trust in yourself.

Material

Bronze.  The Archer Warrior is complete and currently in the foundry. These images are of the original piece sculpted in clay.

32cm (h) x 36cm (w) (extended hand to elbow) x 23cm (d) (front foot to back foot)

About the artist - Shaun Summers

Shaun lives in Sydney and has been sculpting with the Sydney Sculpture School / Artisan Bronze for several years. She has a creative interest in various media however her passion is sculpture. Her sculptural work is figurative. She has recently completed a "Warrior" series.
