Use a little bees wax or natural oil to enrich the wood & bring out the lovely natural grain.

The wood has variations which makes the carving more interesting. The wood is lightweight and quite smooth.

Each hand carved bamboo hippopotamus is a little different so dimensions are approximate.

Medium hippo: 15.5 cm (l) x 7cm (w) x 9 cm to the top of his ears

Small hippo: 9.5 cm (l) x 5cm (w) x 5cm to the top of his ears

Large hippo: 22.5 cm (l) x 9.5 cm (w) x 12 cm to the top of his ears
